Andersons Creek Road, Doncaster East is a pair of contemporary four-bedroom, side by side dwellings. Due to the steep site topography with falls towards the rear, the proposal incorporates basement levels which engages with landscaped external rear yard spaces. The proposed dwelling utilise simple geometric box like forms, which cantilever ground floor structures, allowing for elements to be further emphasised or recessed as part of a composition. The use of materials such as composite timber cladding as a feature within a simplistic material and colour palette allow for the facade proportions to further demonstrate the various scales affecting the building. The proposal responds well to the site proportions and topographical features and is well positioned and situated within its context.
