Mihil Street, Preston is a pair of four-bedroom side by side townhouse dwellings. The design is contemporary in form and combines feature gable and structures with cantilevers at first floor with flat roof forms and parapet wall structures at ground floor level. The simplistic materials and finishes palette propose robust design composition through the use of face brick and concrete render finishes whilst combining with more static and flowing finishes such as vertical patterned timber and steel. The seamless effect of pitched steel roofs wrapping down wall surfaces further emphases the proposed geometrical forms. The slenderness of the feature gable end forms ensures that the façade profile does not over-power the streetscape, rather contributing positively to the existing site context.
