The subject site of the tenancy is part of the recently constructed Home Maker Centre development located at 27-29 Nepean Highway Mentone.
It was the brief by our clients (the café operators) to complete the concept for a café that was to have a neutral and easy-going vibe. We established a base palette of materials and finishes referencing timber as the main theme throughout. The design incorporated façade design and branding, kitchen and service area design, furniture design, and outdoor / indoor spaces offering various dining experiences. One of the main concepts was a patterned timber batten ceiling which curved in waves and flowed from the external zone to the internal zone allowing for the areas to merge blurring the lines between them.
